The Allen & Heath CQ-12T is an ultra-compact digital audio mixer with 96 kHz processing, 10 mono input channels and 3 stereo mix channels to LR outputs and 6 auxiliary outputs.
The mixer is equipped with balanced XLR sockets and 5 combo sockets (TRS/XLR) that connect to fully recallable, digitally controlled preamplifiers. These sockets provide standard 48 V phantom power. Local analogue outputs are available on XLR sockets and balanced ¼in TRS jack sockets with a nominal line output of +4dBu and a maximum output of +22dBu.
All input and output signal processing functions, routing options and system configuration can be accessed via a 7-inch colour touchscreen and associated dedicated knob. 3 user-assignable buttons with variable colour LED backlighting provide quick access to functions including input/mix mute, tap tempo, scene control. An available footswitch connector allows control to be assigned from an optional single or dual footswitch. All input channels include the following processing functions: Polarisation, High Pass Filter, Gate, Parametric EQ, Compressor, Pan.
All output mix channels include the following processing functions: selectable graphic/ parametric EQ, compressor, delay. Channel processing also includes simplified, source-optimised channel settings to speed up setup and streamline operation. The mixer provides automatic input level detection and preamp gain adjustment on multiple channels, as well as input level monitoring during use with the ability to reduce preamp gain to prevent overdrive. There is also a feedback detector that analyses one, many or all mixes, identifies problematic frequencies and applies clipping filters accordingly to eliminate feedback during setups or live performances.
