The Lumix DC-GH5 is a mirrorless digital camera from Panasonic that is the perfect combination of a professional video and a photo camera. Equipped with a 20.3 megapixel Live MOS digital sensor, the DC-GH5 is guaranteed to deliver fantastic quality footage with the highest sharpness over a wide dynamic range.
The hardware allows you to capture 4K video at 60 fps and Full HD at 180 fps with 10-bit 4:2:2 format, take photos in 6K PHOTO mode (which records a short movie at 30 frames per second and then lets you select any frame at 18 million pixels) or 4K PHOTO in .jpg (60 fps).
The camera records movies in MOV, MP4, AVCHD, or AVCHD Progressive formats at 59.95, 50, or 24 Hz.
In addition to the advanced Live MOS sensor, the Panasonic Lumix DC-GH5 uses the powerful Venus Engine 10 processor, which offers features such as Multipixel Luminance Generation and Intelligent Detail Processing for strong contrast, Three-Dimensional Colour Control for a wide color gamut in both light and dark tones, and Multi Process NR for precise noise reduction.
The DC-GH5 features five-axis image stabilization, which allows you to shoot in poor light or with a telephoto lens. With this feature, you don't even need a gimbal to achieve a stable and smooth image effect. The dual shutter system allows you to capture the most dynamic moments (1/8000s for mechanical shutter and 1/16000s for electronic shutter).
Another highlight of the Lumix GH5 is the DFD focusing technology, which allows the camera to process a digital signal at 480 fps. The focus time is 0.05 seconds, allowing you to shoot in AFC (continuous) mode at 9 fps and in AFS (single) mode at 12 fps. For instant AF field changes, there is a built-in joystick and customizable buttons.
In addition to a number of features, the Panasonic Lumix DC-GH5 is equipped with an OLED viewfinder with a resolution of 3,680,000 dots and a zoom ratio of 1.52x/0.76x, a TFT LCD display with a static touch panel, two SD card slots, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port, or an HDMI port for playback or output directly to a monitor. The built-in stereo microphone comes with several wind noise cancellation modes.
The Lumix GH5 supports Bluetooth 4.2 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi. The camera's rugged design allows for heavy use in the field.
