Product description
The MAILA XXL is the most powerful and largest line-array system from LD Systems, offering 20 kW of output power. It has been designed for professional users and rental companies who demand the highest quality in power, coverage and even sound dispersion, while maintaining ease of use and flexibility. MAILA XXL is an innovative sound reinforcement system ideal for professional live events, clubs and large venues.
Unlike the MAILA S, M and L ground systems, MAILA XXL is primarily designed for overhead applications, although it can also be converted into a MAILA L ground system without additional investment. As a result, MAILA XXL is not seen as a single product, but as a scalable stereo sound system that stands out for its diversity and flexibility. MAILA XXL combines different acoustic concepts into one unique solution: a band-pass subwoofer with cardioid function, an integrated loudspeaker with DSP amplifier and coaxial satellites with line array function.
The MAILA XXL low-frequency system is based on six 2 x 15’ 2.5 kW subwoofers (MAILA SUB), which deliver powerful bass sound thanks to the new SysCore DSP processor. Each subwoofer is powered by a MAILA COL loudspeaker, equipped with a 2.5 kW 4-channel DSP amplifier and four 6.5’ woofers, which together with the satellite set provides an impressive low-midrange.
The eight MAILA SAT satellites, housed in elegant aluminium unibody enclosures, are located below the MAILA COL speakers. The connection between COL and SAT and between the individual satellites is made without cables, thanks to the SmartLink+ rails. Using Advanced WaveAhead technology, each SAT satellite features five 1‘ tweeters positioned in front of a 6.5’ midrange driver, which, combined with SonicGuide, provides clear sound without distortion. In addition, the integrated passive diaphragm in the satellites allows the bandwidth to be extended to 100 Hz, resulting in a classic linear dispersion effect with impressive sound range.
On the back of each MAILA SAT satellite is a swivelling handle that conceals the innovative EasySplay mechanism. With it, users can adjust the angle of the satellite from 0° to 8° with a single flick of the wrist, even under load. This makes it possible to adapt the sound coverage to any situation at any time.
MAILA can be set up quickly and easily using the MAILA app on iPadOS or directly on the device. Thanks to the LogoLink wireless connection, the system operates reliably within a range of up to 30 metres. The app automatically recognises the MAILA components, enabling quick system set-up, including calculation of SAT angles, before the event.
LD Systems introduces a new sound reinforcement concept that eliminates the need to choose a single system, as MAILA offers versatility for a variety of applications. The kit includes: 16 MAILA SAT satellites, 2 MAILA COL loudspeakers, 6 MAILA SUB subwoofers, 2 EasyMount+, 2 MAILA FC2, 1 MAILA FC3, 6 MAILA SUB CB, 6 MAILA SUB PC, 8 power cables.
