Even in SMALL configuration, the smallest LD Systems MAILA system is an extremely powerful, active, full-range stereo system. The ground system consists of one MAILA SUB 2x15” high-performance subwoofer with cardioid function, three MAILA SAT satellites and one MAILA SPA amplifier module that drives the satellites on each side of the stereo.

Like the larger MAILA configurations, the MAILA S combines a variety of acoustic concepts to deliver maximum power and sound quality from an extremely compact and versatile PA system. The high-performance 2.5 kW 2x15” subwoofer uses a band-pass design and provides a powerful and robust bass foundation thanks to the newly developed SysCore DSP.

The MAILA SAT satellites in a sleek aluminum unibody cabinet are based on Advanced WaveAhead technology. Five 1-inch tweeters are placed in front of a 6.5-inch midrange driver and are connected without interference using SonicGuide (two interconnected waveguides). What's more, despite the satellite's compact dimensions, the integrated reactive diaphragm provides extended impact up to 100 Hz. The result is classic linear dispersion with impressive throw.

On the back of the housing of each MAILA SAT satellite is a rotating mount that hides a breakthrough innovation: thanks to the patented EasySplay mechanism, users can adjust the tilt of each satellite continuously from 0° to 8° in the blink of an eye. The angle can be adjusted with one hand, even under load. In this way, each MAILA system offers a uniquely flexible concept for adjusting sound coverage to any sound reinforcement situation at any time.

MAILA is not just “one” product, but a scalable sound system that sets new standards in its diversity and flexibility. If required, the MAILA SPA module with SysCore® DSP can control up to eight MAILA SAT systems and, in addition to the ground stack variant, also allows flying configurations with a separately placed subwoofer. In this way, the MAILA S handles small conferences and lectures as easily and precisely as it does DJ performances at festivals and corporate events or a small live band.

Directly on the device or via MAILA's free app (iPadOS), each MAILA system can be adjusted quickly, easily and in detail, and software updates can be delivered wirelessly. Based on the integrated LogoLink® wireless connection, an operating range of up to 30 meters is no problem for MAILA under practical conditions. Once connected, the app automatically detects MAILA's available components and enables quick and easy system configuration - including SAT angle calculations - in the run-up to an event.
