Product description
HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro is a professional Blackmagic recorder that allows you to record video files of up to 4K30p quality directly to 2.5" SSD disks and SD/UHS-II cards, two slots of which are located on the front panel of the recorder. Cards can be changed without interrupting recording, and after recording the media can be connected to any computer for processing.
This professional recorder is equipped with an LCD display, which provides information about the time code, recording status for each card, video format, frame rate, and volume levels. Through this compact screen, audio/video monitoring with PPM or UV ballistics is possible. A knob on the front panel allows jog, scroll, and shuttle search. With the elegant buttons, on the other hand, you can start recording, select the recording format, or control the transport for playback - selected buttons on the panel are routed to the RS-422 remote output, making it possible to control multiple HyperDecks simultaneously. The front panel is also equipped with a speaker and a 6.3mm jack for monitoring live audio via headphones.
HyperDeck Studio 4K supports multi-channel SDI audio, allowing up to 16 channels to be recorded. When recording, it is possible to select 2, 4, 8, or 16 channels of audio to record in real-time.
Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio 4K supports recording to ProRes, DNxHD, H.265, or H.264 with AAC or PCM audio. For ISO recording, built-in timecode and reference signal generators are used to synchronize multiple devices. With 2160p60 H.265 recording, for example, up to 58 hours of footage can be stored on a 1TB card.
Another advantage of the recorder is the support of advanced HDR standards, information about which is built into the SDI connections. With HyperDeck Studio 4K it is possible to load a 3D LUT on the monitor output to, for example, convert the footage to gamma video.
The HyperDeck Studio 4K recorder is equipped with a number of functional inputs and outputs, such as a USB-C 3. 1 Gen 2, thanks to which it is possible to record material directly to disk arrays or external drives, reference input/output with a built-in synchronization generator (on BNC connectors), 10G Ethernet port for remote control and instant file transfer (RJ45), HDMI input/output for recording and playback on cameras, projectors or monitors, timecode connection input/output from an external generator (XLR), or 12G-SDI connectors (BNC).
The recorder can be powered via two power outlets (100-240V AC) or a 4-pin XLR connector (12V DC), which can also be used with an external battery for a redundant power supply.
So many features are housed in a 1U high unit, so it will fit in a rack slot.
Available from SQM Rental House, the Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro recorder is perfect for professional broadcasts and live productions.
